Well we came back after the two years lapse as good as ever thanks to the competitors and all the staff in this year’s 43rd Tour de Trigs. Weather was good for walking in December, with a sunny sky followed by a moonlit night and frosty ground conditions. For a while in the preceding weeks we did wonder about the flooding that took place but all improved for our return.

Though numbers were less than previous years, as was expected after two years away , the same sense of enjoyment! by all was evident to see.

Very well done to all those who achieved or exceeded their goals, especially those who completed their 50 miles (Senior) and 30 miles (Junior ) distances. Well done to those who completed 35 miles or more for certificates.

The results and statistics (on the results page) show the whole picture. Congratulations to those who completed and commiserations to those who failed to finish. We hope you will be back to try again next year. December 7th & 8th of December 2013, same time same place.

From the comments at the finish, in the dining room afterwards, on the web, mail, facebook and twitter you enjoyed (if that is the right word) the route and event. We will certainly be passing on the thank yous to the staff, especially the checkpoint marshals.

We are going to offer in the next few days for sale clothing of all sorts, sizes and colours with the Tour de Trigs scene in large on the front and personalised to you with name, year, and distance completed. A unique present for Christmas perhaps. Information, cost and p & p on the web within the next few days. For those who just want Tour de Trigs on the clothing we will be doing that also.

May we finally say thank you for taking part in the competition, and with good humour. Let your friends and organisations know about this great event and get your entries in early please. We aim to more than double the entry numbers for the coming year and to be able to present all of the Trophies available.

The organizing staff of the Tour de Trigs wish you all
a Happy Christmas,
and a Healthy New Year.
